How we clean your driveway, from start to finish...
Preliminary checks
Firstly, we check that all the drains on your property are running clear, and we clean them out if required. This ensures that they are working as they should, and that the following parts of the process run smoothly and efficiently.
Please note: On driveways that have a heavy growth of weeds, it can be beneficial to apply a weedkiller two weeks prior to the driveway clean.
The Cleaning Process
For maintenance cleans we generally use a flat surface cleaner as these are very efficient and save considerable amounts of time. Maintenance cleans are usually done on an annual basis and are very eco friendly as they don't require the use of treatments to get the desired result.
More intense cleans require the use of a high pressure jet wash with a turbo nozzle using tap water initially, to remove any lichen, moss, algae and weeds.
Any remaining stubborn black spots that remain will require a chemical treatment. The chemical treatment is eco-friendly and quickly degrades without leaving any long lasting effects.
Block paving will require Kiln Dried Sand to be brushed in as it forms an integral part of your driveway and secures the blocks in place, preventing movement.
Finally the entire driveway is rinsed to remove any residues and then your windows, walls, fences and any garden furniture will be cleaned to leave your property spotless!
We always carry out an on-site survey because every job is different and whilst most jobs are completed without any problems we want to ensure that all possible eventualities are covered. Low water pressure and poor drainage may be reflected in the price of a job if they are likely to delay the process, but we will always be up front with you, and talk to you if any issues arise. Problems are a rare occurance but you can rest assured that we are happy to deal with them head on.
